About This Game Wayward Souls is a randomly generated action-RPG with a heavy focus on story. Play as seven different heroes, all with their own abilities and playstyles. Fight through steadily greater hordes of enemies, as you learn about each character and find out what happened in the cursed tower you find yourself in.Greatly inspired by 90's era action-RPG's, but with a faster pace and a focus on randomized replay value.Customize each character with their own upgrades and equipment sets that change their movesets and abilities.Over 100 different monster types. Over 300 hats (IMPORTANT)Unique story events for every playable character. Many different areas, room types, rare rooms, encounters, and secrets.Unlockable game modes, including Endless Mode.Heavy replay value due to randomly generated levels, multiple character types, and randomized enemy groups.Hero Characters and AbilitiesRenee uses her mobility to dash through enemies. Her Power Attack is a kick that stuns, with effects depending on her boots. She frequently finds items that let her blind, stun, or poison enemies. All of these let her perform very damaging backstabs.Equipment and Upgrade Examples:Mirage Dagger randomly gives her short bursts of stealth during her dashes.Giantstomper Boots upgrade her kicks to send enemies flying far back. Flung enemies will then damage and stun enemies they crash into. The Giantstompers also interrupt larger enemies that are stun resistant.Toadskin Cowters poison enemies that hit her, stunning them after a few seconds. Her Low Blow Upgrade permanently makes it so defeating large enemies will make her next dagger attack stun whatever she hits, even if her slash hits multiple enemies.Blythe combines durability with a big sword that cleaves a wide area. He has a shield to block enemy attacks, and throwing axes for when he needs a faster or more long ranged option than his sword provides. Duskhander Sword replaces his default Power Attack's charging slash with a whirlwind spin, hitting enemies over a larger area.Magebane Gauntlets reduces the damage of enemy spells, while making his throwing axes destroy any enemy spell they pass through.Stonebeard Slab is much more durable than the default shield, but makes him move very slowly when holding the shield out to block.Drakefire Oil is an item the Warrior can use to make all his sword swings emit a traveling wave of flame, for a limited time.Abbie has long ranged magic attacks that do heavy damage. Her Power Attack uses her staff for shots that are longer range and pierce multiple enemies. In a tough situation, she has limited use spells for both offense and defense.Salamander's Breath Staff turns her magical shots into bursts of flame that pierce even more enemies, but have very short range.Tremor Garb gives her a powerful footstomp that creates a shockwave to stun enemies and destroy enemy projectiles.Manablade Arts lets her summon a sword that does high damage, interrupts enemy attacks, can reflect enemy spells, and has a small chance to stun. The Mage can find powerful one use scrolls such as Fireball or Lightning Bolt, which inflict massive damage and stun to multiple enemies.More characters details soon! 7aa9394dea Title: Wayward SoulsGenre: Action, Indie, RPG, Early AccessDeveloper:Rocketcat GamesPublisher:Rocketcat GamesRelease Date: 16 Jul, 2018 Wayward Souls Download For Pc [pack] wayward souls final boss. is wayward souls worth it. wayward souls fort myers. wayward souls meaning. wayward souls free apk. wayward souls download apk. wayward souls free download. wayward souls latest apk. wayward souls android download. come wayward souls full version. wayward souls controls. wayward souls apk rexdl. install wayward souls. wayward souls xbox one. wayward souls 1.32 5. wayward souls discogs. wayward souls cheats. wayward souls rpg. wayward souls story. wayward souls paladin update. wayward souls ost. wayward souls android polska. wayward souls paladin class. wayward souls how to save. wayward souls pets. wayward souls minecraft. wayward souls tips. wayward souls pc torrent. wayward souls forge upgrades. wayward souls intro level. wayward souls igg. wayward souls cheat engine. baixar wayward souls apk. wayward souls schedule. descargar wayward souls apk full. wayward souls google play. come wayward souls letra español. wayward souls hats. wayward souls mac. wayward souls how many levels. wayward souls switch. wayward souls 1.34 ipa. wayward souls gift upgrade. wayward souls items. wayward souls guide. wayward souls pc download. wayward souls best humphrey. wayward souls bosses. wayward souls apk indir. wayward souls pc review. wayward souls humphrey. wayward souls gold farming. wayward souls android. wayward souls apk latest. wayward souls difficulty. wayward souls apk full. wayward souls ember forge. wayward souls news. wayward souls iphone. wayward souls apk hilesiz. wayward souls rogue. wayward souls controller support. wayward souls free apk download. wayward souls download pc. wayward souls st louis. wayward souls pc gameplay. baixar wayward souls android. wayward souls 1. wayward souls infinite health. wayward souls 1.32.1 apk. wayward souls apk 1.32.5. wayward souls free. wayward souls apk torrent. wayward souls 1.32.5 download. wayward souls fallen kingdom. wayward souls demo. wayward souls trailer. wayward spirits and earthbound souls. wayward souls help. wayward souls download free. wayward souls reddit. wayward souls v1 32.5 apk Good game made by good devs. And the fact that its early access means that its gonna be even better.. it doesn't work i can't see my screen. LOVE this game the art is so good my fav is the mage. I played this game a few years ago on IOS, and it was by far my most played game on my IPad. I just realized it came out on PC, and with a brand new update a few days ago and I haven't been able to stop playing since! It's still the best rogue-like dungeon game I've ever played. The gameplay is challenging and rewards you figuring out how to best fight an enemy rather than grinding up to have better gear. The skill-cap on this game goes on and on, there's always a more efficient way to clear a room. The lore is also fantastic, and gradually builds up multiple pieces of information for you to cobble together into the true story of what happened at Amaranth Keep.I love this game, and I always will. I definitely reccomend it (it's only 12 bucks!) as it's more than worth the price. Good luck fellow adventurers! : ). Wayward Souls is a great game that I have been looking forward to for a few years now. Originally this game was created and designed for mobile devices, (Don't let that throw you off from buying this, this is more than a port) and was promised a PC port for 2 years. We have finally received this port, although I would say its much more like an update and port in one.All in all Wayward Souls plays well on PC. Being able to use a controller makes playing the game a lot easier and the updated UI is nice to see. Players also (finally) get access to the long-promised 7th character, the Paladin. So far I've only talked about Wayward Souls being enjoyable and a good port, but not about its gameplay. The game plays like a roguelike where you pick 1 of 7 characters and venture into the dungeon. Unlike most roguelikes this game uses a chapter system, beat every stage in the first chapter and you can then go to the second. This means that you only need to beat a chapter once with each character, instead of having to retry from the first stage on a death. Each character goes through the chapters and explores their own story inside the game, with all stories eventually leading to a similar conclusion. Each character has slight differences in their gameplay, but the general gameplay of a character is the same. You have access to a general attack with each character, a charged attack, and 2 specials (Some characters have one special and an action like a dash). Generally one of the special is for offense and the other for defense. Characters may also use their charged attack which costs energy, a gauge which slowly recharges over time. Specials also cost ammo, a resource which is found on defeated enemies or in boxes.Characters also gain access to special items to help them. Items are one-time use and found inside crates. A character can hold up to 4 items at a time. Most items either unleash a damage spell or buff the character in some way.Wayward Souls also has an upgrade system inside it. When in a run you may come across an object that allows the player to upgrade either their weapon, a special, or for some characters a passive or charged attack. Upgrading will select the weapon for you and pick 2 possible upgrade paths. In general, there are about 5 upgrades for each weapon and special with them being different for each character. While those upgrades are only effective for the current run, there are permanent upgrades to your character. During runs, you will obtain coins, which can be spent on the main menu for character upgrades. These upgrades only affect the selected character, excluding the last character upgrade which applies to each character. All in all Wayward Souls is a great game and an even greater port. This version of the game should appeal to any player looking for a new and fairly difficult roguelike to spend their time in.. Follow our curator page: IndieGems if you like and want to see more reviews like this one.Wayward Souls is a hack-n-slash roguelite that features retro-style pixel graphics, multiple character classes to choose from, fast-paced action, and procedurally generated dungeons. The game is currently in Early Access, with more content to come in the upcoming months. The basic gameplay features fast-paced hack-n-slash action with the look and feel of a traditional 16-bit SNES game with some nice animations and repetitive gameplay. Each individual enemy (other than the bosses) is not particularly difficult, but if you are not careful about your movement and have 10-20 enemies rushing you in asynchronous fashion, you are in trouble. The game starts feature three different classes, Warrior, Mage, and Rogue that the player can choose from, each with its own features, strengths and weaknesses. There are 3 more characters to unlock, and another one on the way. Each character features his/her own story, and so the game has a lot of replay value in trying to find out how to achieve character mastery with each and to reveal their background stories. Each story plot line is only displayed once, so it would be nice for the game to offer the option to look back at the story once it has been revealed. (For those like me who gets halfway with one character and decided that perhaps another one would be good to try. Unlocking other characters along the way and not going back to the first for a long time.) I find that the lore is charming but minimal, yet adds enough flavor to each character for you to really want to get better just to see their short stories. This reminds me of Super Mario Bros where you work so hard as a 6 year-old child on continuous rinse and repeat just to bathe in the limelight of a Toad telling you "But our princess is in another castle!"There is only one difficulty, and you have to be prepared to die a lot. In this I agree with the above mentioned automatic story skip beyond the first time seeing it. But there are permanent upgrades available for each character with a cap seen on the character selection screen. As long as you have the gold, you can buy the upgrade and increase your chance of survival a bit more. How do you earn gold? Well, you grind a little for that. Other than finding gold and treasure in chests, you can also hack down every mushroom, rock, wall decoration, lamp, you name it for a certain chance of a shiny golden coin. I don't particularly like this aspect that artificially draws out runs just because you are trying to maximize your gold gained per run so that you can buy more upgrades before the next. This takes away from the flow and rhythm of the actual game, especially since there is no benefit to gaining coins on your current run, maybe except to put a bonus on your gravestone for your friends. The gold you gain is a cumulative purse and just adds up until you have enough. In addition, the gold can be used for any character you can currently play.Speaking of your gravestones, you can choose to write a message every time you die. And if you pay some of your in-game gold, you can put a bonus on there for your friends who see your tombstone when they play. These are timed (1-2 days) and can give your friends some bonus gold, a blessing (temp status boost), etc. Your Steam friends automatically show up in there, but each person has a game ID that you can share with others and you can add a bunch of people with whom you are not friends on Steam. See discussion forums for many such people exchanging IDs.There is progression for each character for each run that is not permanent. You always start with the basic stats (unless you spent coin for permanent upgrades). Each floor has either a shrine or an ember forge. Shrines give you a temporary status effect boost, armor, etc. Whereas the ember forge gives you a boost in your weapon, status, etc for the rest of the run. The ember forge always gives you two options and you pick the one that fits your play style. In addition, you also can take on a single pet at a time during your run. These small creatures you discover in chests/crates and can really help you out during your game. If you find another animal that you think is a better pet, you can just walk up to it and exchange your current pet for the new one. The battle sequences are in locked rooms, like many dungeon crawlers, and you need to clear the room to be able to move onto the next. I am not a big fan of being only able to attack in the four cardinal directions, but enemies can fire physical or magical projectiles at you from all kinds of angles. This is my only complaint at this time regarding the battle system, if anything, at least give me the diagonals! You also find some consumable items that are generated randomly and hidden within chests. You have a limited inventory and you will need to go into your map/menu to access and use your consumables. These are offensive or defensive and can come in really handy in a tight spot or a particularly difficult fight.I had mentioned initially that this game can be considered repetitive. This is because of the grind for coins, the countless enemies, and the many deaths. So perhaps if you are truly skilled, and can vanquish all of your foes without coins or permanent upgrades, and you find the enemy patterns easy to discern and to deal with, then this would hardly be a problem for you. Certainly the coin-purchased permanent upgrades are assist devices that you may not need. There is one more thing that you collect, hats! I have no idea what they are for, but I have gotten a bunch of different hats through my gameplay. I think this is meant to be some kind of achievement, though I am not sure.So this game is clearly not meant for everyone. Not everyone wants to play a game that has the playing character die many times, with rinse and repeat action. But if you are reading this review and you have read to this point, you have a pretty good idea of what you are getting yourself into. I personally think this is an excellent game that could use a little more polish. But it is still in Early Access and I am curious about what additional features will come through in future updates. In its current state, I would give the game a 8/10. It's not perfect, but it certainly has its own charm. I absolutely would recommend it.I received the product for free. I did not receive any compensation to write this review. The opinions represented here are entirely my own and were not influenced in any way.. Better than android version, love this game, love the music, love Abbie! And my friend code is 80b 71d b12.Just add me!. Meh. It's extremely okay. I was hoping for something more in the vein of a DR2C. I've played for about an hour, and WS doesn't have any of its predecessor's sense of humor. I feel like the combat system needs a major overhaul. It's just a lot of running in a circle trying not to get tagged by bats, miners (?) or cat gremlins (???) or whatever. It already feels very grindy.. Wayward Souls is classic Zelda combat, Link to the Past style, only tightened up to the nth degree and given a roguelike luster. The main game flow is you enter a room, the doors lock, and a bunch of freakish undead monsters try to kill you. You watch their patterns, step around them as needed, and strike when they are vulnerable. The combat is slow paced and you must be reactive, often to a half dozen monsters with different patterns, kiting and dodging them as best you can to line up a strike when the opportunity presents itself. Enemies flash, then they attack, you dodge and counter, that's the ebb and flow, and your first few runs are going to result in you dying a lot as you figure out the patterns to the monsters and what they let you get away with. There are six characters, with a seventh on the way, and each has a different moveset that changes the game up a bit. The warrior has a lackluster dodge, but his defense is a shield with limited "ammo" that can be equipped almost as fast as you react. The rogue is dodge-happier and can gain a bonus on backstabs. The mage shoots at longer range but is strapped on defense options. The spellsword has nothing BUT a dodge but collects a great many single use items, etc... There is plenty of variety on offer and currency from your many failed and successful runs can be spent on upgrading the stats of your characters (The upgrades are generally discrete and well managed; we aren't talking a Rogue Legacy style grind to infinity here, but everyone has a stat for more health regenerated at the end of each floor which is a damn near necessity for serious runs so a grindwall still kinda exists.)This started out as a mobile game but the changes made from the original are quite numerous.Compared to Death Road to Canada, there is not much randomness or craziness to Wayward Souls. Each dungeon is a series of combat rooms, of greater lengths, leading to a boss to clear your run. The game is focused heavily on this combat and demands you learn the enemy behaviors and your character's tricks if you wish to succeed. The few in-game upgrades you'll find are minor property additions to one of your abilities; they do not make or break a run*. It is just down to you and how good you are.*In fact in game upgrades are so lackluster it's usually a blessing to find a fork that leads to the level exit generated pretty close to the start; it's rarely worth fighting more encounters than necessary because you are very unlikely to come out of it with anything meaningful that outweighs the time and health risked. 2/2 Update - Paladin Bosses Part 3: Paladin's story mode has been lengthened by a few levels, and he now has a new boss!
